153,837 passengers passed though Glasgow Prestwick Airport in September. This was 28% less than last year, but 'a small improvement on a disappointing trend' the airport said.
The result reflects Ryanair capacity reductions and the continuing weak aviation market. Load factors were generally strong on the 1,183 flights that operated through the airport, and the 4 new Ryanair ‘sun routes’ that launched this week had positive forward sales.
