Ryanair enjoys record flight times on Belfast route

Ryanair has recorded the fastest ever schedule flight times between Scotland and Northern Ireland thanks to strong tail winds. Passengers on the Glasgow Prestwick to Belfast City Airport flights have made the distance in as little as 18 minutes.
A spokesman revealed that, in the past week, the airline has achieved flights of 20-minute or less 3 times on the route. The speed was partly due to a following wind, with the normal flight time up to 45 minutes.
A spokesman for Ryanair said: 'We've had 3 flights that arrived in 20 minutes in the last week. Last month, 98% of our flights to our new the Belfast base arrived on time, which is an extremely high figure.'
