New foreign currency supplier announced

Prestwick Airport owner Infratil has reached agreement with The Change Group to provide passengers with currency exchange services. The company was appointed from a shortlist of operators when the foreign exchange business was tendered at the end of last year. They will commence trading on February 1.
The Change Group will take over and refit the existing landside unit and also introduce a new expanded unit in the departure lounge area at Prestwick Airport so that passengers have access to full foreign exchange facilities both landside and airside. They will replace Travelex, who have provided the currency exchange services at the airport for a number of years.
Graeme Sweenie of Infratil Airports said: 'We are very excited about this opportunity, particularly as it will offer our passengers an airside currency exchange facility at Prestwick. We have been impressed by The Change Group’s enthusiasm about this venture, as well as their track record of providing exceptional customer service at all their locations, and we look forward to working with them.'
Formed in 1992, The Change Group is one of the world leaders in its field with a presence in Europe, North America, Asia and Australasia. They are an independent, primarily high street, retailer and are keen to get involved in the low cost airport market that mainly operates from regional airports. Let's hope their rates are better than Travelex.
