Police investigate laser incident

Strathclyde Police are investigating an incident where a green laser was shone into a plane preparing to land at Prestwick Airport. The incident happened on Friday January 8, at around 20:10 at night.
Crew onboard the plane saw the light while five miles north of Newmills. A police spokesman said: ‘This type of behaviour is potentially very serious and is now the subject of a specific criminal offence. Our inquiries in to the incident are ongoing.’
