Glasgow Prestwick to get new Amsterdam flights

Plans for new flights between Glasgow Prestwick airport and Amsterdam were announced today. Low-cost airline Transavia plans to operate the flights six days a week starting on March 26.
Glasgow Prestwick Airport managing director Steve Fitzgerald said: 'We are absolutely delighted to attract a new low-cost carrier to Glasgow Prestwick. It's another terrific development for the airport.'
'Our policy has always been to bring attractive new flights to the airport. Transavia, an established international airline, allows us to offer another fantastic short-break destination.'
Transavia chief executive Onno van den Brink said: 'We are delighted to announce our first-ever flight linking Holland to Scotland. We look forward to welcoming many new customers to our flights.'
