Fall in Easter passengers

The number of passengers travelling via Prestwick Airport over the Easter weekend fell compared to last year, the Ayrshire Post reports. Around 30,000 people were expected to pass through the airport, down on the same period last year.
Airport officials said that the loss of charter flights from Seguro Holidays and the economic downturn are responsible for the fall in passengers. The most popular destinations from Glasgow Prestwick this Easter include Derry, Gothenburg, Shannon and Stansted.
