13.07.11
Ryanair welcomed its 30 millionth passenger on its flights to and from Scotland yesterday. The budget airline presented 10 year old Zara McAnerney from Dunbartonshire and her family with a free holiday to Faro including flights, transfers and accommodation at the 5 star Dom Pedro Golf Resort.
Since Ryanair’s first Scottish flight departed from Prestwick Airport to London in October 1995 Ryanair has opened two Scottish bases (Prestwick and Edinburgh) and now offers flights on over 60 routes from three Scottish Airports (including Aberdeen). In 2011 Ryanair will carry 3 million passengers to or from Scotland.
