Ryanair announce new maintenance hangar

Ryanair is to build a new hangar at Prestwick Airport, bringing 200 engineering jobs to the region. The £8m hangar will be the budget airline's second maintenance, repair and overhaul facility at the Ayrshire hub. Between the two they will maintain Ryanair's fleet of more than 200 aircraft.
The hangar is due to open in October 2010, with the Scottish Government contributing £1.5million to the project - £890,000 in Regional Selective Assistance and £640,000 in training grants.
